Orange County, California’s Most Visited Locations

Posted on September 11, 2012

Orange County, California may be home to us here at DaVinci Business Graphics, but that’s not what makes it so special.  There are some great things to see in Orange County.  Whether you are into art, entertainment, or history, the OC has something to offer you.  Today, we look at the most visited locations in Orange County.

Some of the main attractions in the OC are, of course, the Theme Parks.  While Anaheim’s Disneyland is arguably one of the most famous theme parks of all time, Orange County also is home to Knott’s Berry Farm; a local favorite for it’s annual Halloween Haunt.

The Bowers Museum is also a must-see.  Endowed to the city of Santa Ana by a 19th century OrangeCounty developer and his wife, the CharlesW.BowersMemorialMuseum is surrounded by historic landmarks and an up-and-coming artist community.  Boasting a large amalgam of exhibits—from Faberge to Pre-Columbian artifacts—Bowers is one of Southern California’s most popular art destinations.

The Segerstrom Center for the Arts is an 8.5-acre performing arts complex with 4 main venues.  Located in Costa Mesa, the theater’s roots can be traced back to the 1960’s when a group of art enthusiasts thought OrangeCounty should have its own performance space.  Their dream was realized in 1986, when the center was constructed and built entirely through private funding.  Originally called the Orange County Performing Arts Center, the center now bears the name of Henry Segerstrom, one of the center’s biggest contributors.

And what would any visit to OrangeCounty be without a stop at one of the famous Beach Cities.  Individually, each beach city has its own unique charm and character, providing locals and tourists alike with a variety of aquatic activities and other recreational pursuits.  Huntington Beach is known worldwide as one of the top surfing destinations.  Laguna Beach is famous for its abundance of art galleries and museums, while Newport Beach offers a great nightlife and activities such as whale watching.  The beach cities are a crowning attraction in Orange County, California.
